BIOGRAPHY
John F. “Jack” Gillick is a Partner at Rainone, Coughlin, Minchello, LLC and has an extensive history representing both public and private entities and their employees. Mr. Gillick concentrates his practice on the litigation of employment, civil rights, and personal injury claims, and has represented clients in dozens of jury trials on matters ranging from unlawful discrimination to constitutional violations to premises and automobile liability. He also has experience in conducting workplace investigations, providing employee and public official training, and handling indemnification and other employment-related contract issues. In addition to his significant trial and institutional work, Mr. Gillick has argued and won multiple appeals before both the New Jersey Supreme Court and Third Circuit Court of Appeals, has been counsel of record on numerous appellate opinions, and is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.
The Immediate Past President for the Middlesex County Bar Association, Mr. Gillick currently serves as Vice President for the New Jersey State Bar Foundation, President of the Middlesex County Trial Lawyers Association, and Legal Counsel for the Boy Scouts of America, Monmouth Council. Mr. Gillick also serves as a member of the Judicial Administration and Insurance Defense Committees for the New Jersey State Bar Association and is a former President of the Middlesex County Bar Foundation and Trustee for the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education. He has also taught continuing legal education courses for both the Middlesex County and New Jersey State Bar Associations.
Mr. Gillick received his Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University in 2001, where he was Articles Editor for the Legislative Journal, President of the Irish American Law Students Association, a Senator of the Student Bar Association, and an intern for the New Jersey State Assembly’s Democratic Office and the Hon. Rosemary K. Reavey. He thereafter served as Law Clerk to the Hon. Jack L. Lintner, former Presiding Judge of the Superior Court, Appellate Division.
