BIOGRAPHY

Sarah E. Fitzpatrick, an Associate at Rainone Coughlin Minchello, possesses broad-based experience as a general practitioner representing individuals, businesses, and public agencies in civil matters.

Ms. Fitzpatrick represents local governing bodies and agencies throughout New Jersey, as well as nonprofits such as the Associated Humane Societies. She has served as zoning board and planning board attorney for New Jersey municipalities and has represented public clients in numerous appellate matters of statewide significance. She currently serves as Deputy County Counsel for Somerset County, representing the Somerset County Open Space Advisory Committee and the Somerset County Agricultural Retention Board. She has worked with the County to preserve thousands of acres of public open space, recently closing on approximately 400 acres of pristine land to be added to Somerset County’s open space inventory. She has also successfully brought legal action to enforce deed restrictions ensuring the preservation of precious farmland in Somerset County.

Ms. Fitzpatrick received her undergraduate degree from Rutgers College before graduating magna cum laude from Seton Hall University School of Law. She clerked for Supreme Court Justice Alan B. Handler before becoming a Special Assistant Deputy Attorney General in the Office of the Attorney General.
